What We Stand For

Foster Barry exists to sell men’s luxury garments, clothing and accessories online that are genuinely made in the British Isles.

There are many major UK retail brands that trade on their British Heritage, but which pay little more than lip service to that heritage.

How often have you seen expressions such as ‘made in the traditional Jermyn Street style’ when referring to shirts. Marketing statements such as these are deliberately used to evoke the traditional skills of English shirtmaking, when in point of fact most of the shirts being sold are actually made overseas. This pattern of marketing is repeated across many different garment and accessory product ranges by many leading UK retailers.

This is not to decry overseas products; many are of the highest quality workmanship. Charvet make fine French shirts and Brioni make luxury Italian shirts.

It is a question of authenticity and true origin.

The Future

Here at Foster Barry, our product ranges are all luxury items made in the UK. The products are high quality authentic garments and accessories sourced from established UK manufactories.

If we are successful, then over time we hope to introduce many ranges of luxury men’s clothing products online, all produced in the British Isles. This is a simple statement that lacks in marketing hype, but we like it that way.

We will endeavour to scour the land to bring to you those luxury products that represent the true heritage of these Islands.

The Name

Many years ago my best friend Barry Foster died in a tragic accident. He never had a life beyond eight years of age. This company is named in his honour and this website is dedicated to his memory.
